Vascular Disease Foundation Offers Mobile Giving this Holiday Season

The Vascular Disease Foundation (VDF) has added mobile giving to its list of donation offerings. The campaign is the first of its kind for VDF and will continue into 2011. All proceeds raised from the mobile giving campaign will benefit those affected by vascular disease.

Becoming a mobile giver is easy. Interested participants can simply text VDF to 50555 and a $10 tax deductive donation will be made to VDF. Charges will appear on the participant’s mobile phone bill and donors will be given the option to register for VDF’s ongoing alerts. All proceeds raised from this campaign will help provide needed education and necessary programs for those affected by vascular disease and their families, including free educational material and resources.

"We are excited to introduce a mobile component to our giving campaign," said Sheryl Benjamin executive director of the Vascular Disease Foundation. "This innovative mobile solution empowers our supporters to easily participate and encourage their friends and families to help make a difference in the lives of others this holiday season and throughout the year.”

Donations received through texting VDF to 50555 through the end of the year and in 2011 will support the work of the Vascular Disease Foundation. For more information visit www.vdf.org.
