The Frank J. Walsh Memorial Fund

This fund was established in August 2007 in loving memory by his wife Ellen and children, Kathleen Meyer, Lori Walsh-Barnes and Richard Walsh.

Frank J. Walsh, 76, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, at his home surrounded by his family.

Frank was born Dec. 5, 1930, to Frank and Marge Walsh in Chicago.

Frank was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served in the Korean War. Shortly after he returned home he married Ellen Thompsett on July 11, 1953, at St. Andrew Church in Chicago. Frank worked at Commonwealth Edision for over 40 years as an engineer.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Ellen; his children, Kathleen (Bruce) Meyer of Geneva, IL, Lori Walsh-Barnes of Wonder Lake, IL and Richard (Lisa) Walsh of Petaluma, CA; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Meyer, Stacy (Doug) Brock-Jones, Matthew Barnes, and Cassandra and William Walsh; a sister, Marjorie Becker; a brother, Charles (Marge) Walsh; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Julian Barnes.

Frank was loyal in his faith of family, he encouraged togetherness, he is missed dearly.
